WAIHEKE COASTGUARD REFIT

General Marine Services has been a long-standing supporter of Waiheke Volunteer Coastguard, providing ongoing engine, jet and systems maintenance to help keep Waiheke Rescue ready for front-line duty in one of the country’s busiest boating areas.

During the most recent refit at Half Moon Bay, the General Marine team contributed extensive jet and driveline overhaul work, including removal, servicing and reinstallation of the Hamilton Jet units and associated hardware, complementing the wider electrical and structural upgrades undertaken on the vessel.

That involvement reflects a broader relationship with Coastguard units across Auckland, many of whose vessels also rely on Scania power and Hamilton Jet propulsion, and regularly turn to General Marine Services to help keep their rescue craft reliable, efficient and ready to respond.
