General Marine Services can complete customer's machining requirements quickly, and more importantly, precisely.
The company's primary lathe is a Harrison Alpha 550 lathe which has manual or CNC modes. It has a spindle bore of 100 mm (4") and a bed length of 2000 mm (80").
This lathe is ideal for maching small batches of complex parts or producing one-off items to tight tolerances.
General Marine Services can supply, machine and finish the following materials: Stainless steel 304, 316, 2205, 2507; aluminium (all grades including tooling grade); cast iron; bronzes and all grades of steel (including alloys)
General Marine Services also specialise in the manufacture of components made from engineering grade plastics such as: Nylon, Acetal, PTFE, PEEK, Orkot, Nyloil and UHMWPE.
